Victory in the 4th race!

The best race ever!

Mary Rose with Geri on the helm und the ambitious crew did a very good job today in the last race of the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta 2104!

With wind up to 25 knots they made a fine start without any risk first. Then during the next two legs Mary Rose was 3rd in the "White Flag Class". After the second mark an exciting fight started. With best tacticians on board, Allan and Tom, Gery headed Mary Rose closer to the shore then other yachts did and remained offshore when it was the better and faster way... So we could overtake Juno and Coral of Cowes!

On the last two legs Juno tried to catch us with setting their fisherman sail, but no chance! We heard the gun again!

That means first place for the schooner Mary Rose in Vintage Class B after 3 times being first and once second! After we had fixed Mary Rose on the dock we could listend to some songs of Geri's home country, from Ebensee on the Traunsee...

Besides the victory of Mary Rose we all are thinking about what happened last night when one of the batteries of Adventuress nearly started to burn. Fortunately the self destroying battery was discoverd before an bigger accident could occur... I maintained today 4 cameras in total to cover this event for the Austrian Television ORF. The time of broadcasting the movie you will get known in the Mary Rose blog first!

3rd race - well done and still leading!
